Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of equipment

  • Collaborate with business users and Project Managers to comprehend equipment requirements and formulate procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives

  • Identify, assess, and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts for favorable terms and conditions

  • Develop a list of reliable suppliers, fostering relationships to ensure consistent product quality

  • Lead and organize all purchasing activities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce lead times

  • Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders, providing updates on procurement activities and addressing concerns

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Procurement, or related disciplines

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in purchasing equipment for large supermarkets or food production retail chain

  • Strong familiarity with procuring commercial equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, food maker, cooler, heater, fixture, etc

  • Strong network of suppliers and manufacturers in China is mandatory

  • Excellent technical understanding of supermarket equipment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and communication skills

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English, ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset

  • Ability to work independently

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
