BerlinRosen is seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in getting hands-on experience in research, writing, business development and marketing for a fast-paced and growing organization. The Growth Team intern will be integrated into a dynamic business development and marketing team that drives projects across the full firm, from progressive advocacy campaigns to real estate development to tech to hospitality and more. The Growth Team is responsible for supporting firm-wide business strategy, producing internal research and external products like proposals and capability documents, and guiding the firm’s marketing efforts. Please note, this is not a finance or sales role!
Our Fall 2022 Internship Program runs from early September 2022 to late December 2022/early January 2023. While interns can be fully remote, our in-office policy for Washington, DC and New York, NY is currently flexible, and proof of full vaccination is required to enter our offices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As an intern on our team, you will…
Learn the basics of business development and high-level marketing strategies for a communications firm
Conduct background research, media analysis and social media assessments of potential clients
Regularly update and review the Business Development pipeline and the firm’s proposal resources and indexes
Support Growth team members in driving and managing the business development process with proposal and presentation materials
Coordinate proposal reviews and finalization
Assist with a variety of Growth- and team-related assignments and tasks as necessary
Essential skills:
Self-motivation, good organizational skills, detail-orientation, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing abilities: able to write clear and persuasive copy, quickly
Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with prospective clients and firm leadership
Ability to incorporate constructive feedback and develop your skills
Demonstrated interest in news, politics and current events
Excellent computer skills including Google Suite products, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred skills:
Strong research and writing skills
Formatting experience, particularly in PowerPoint and Word
Research and database skills are a plus for work on media databases Meltwater or Cision
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Interns must be able to work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, on a roughly 9 am-to-5 pm Eastern Time schedule. Please do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement.
Compensation: $17 / hour
