The main responsibility of the mechanical piping engineer is to make sure that all aspects of the project—including the cost, schedule, and health, safety, and standards of the company—are completed in accordance with the project contract. In certain situations, the position also entails reviewing and analyzing mechanical alterations made to utilities and oil and gas processing and handling facilities.
