What Does the CSP Offer? A Glimpse into the Program
1. A Four-Month Fellowship in the United States
Imagine spending four months in the United States, collaborating with inspiring host organizations to advance your technical skills and expertise. This hands-on practicum is your chance to gain real-world experience while making global connections that will shape your future.
2. Community Leadership Institute
At the heart of CSP lies the Community Leadership Institute, a graduate-level leadership curriculum. Through face-to-face training, online courses, professional coaching, and networking opportunities, you'll strengthen your leadership and management skills, equipping you to lead change effectively.
3. Community-Based Initiatives
Your journey doesn't end in the U.S. With support from your U.S. host organization, you'll design and plan a community development initiative or project to implement in your home country. This six-month follow-on project ensures that your newfound skills and knowledge directly benefit your community.

Eligibility Requirements: Are You In?
Find out if you meet the eligibility criteria to become a part of this transformative program.
CSP seeks individuals who are truly dedicated to creating change. To be eligible, you must:
- Be aged 26 to 39 as of January 1, 2024
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries (listed below)
- Live and work in your home country
- Possess at least two years of experience in community development
- Not be currently participating in a U.S. academic, training, or research program
- Demonstrate high proficiency in spoken and written English
- Be available for four months from August to December 2024
- Not be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or have applied for U.S. permanent residency within the past three years
- Be eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa
- Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after completing the program
