What is the Atlantic Growth Strategy?
The Atlantic Growth Strategy is about accelerating the growth of Atlantic Canada's economy. Launched in July 2016 by the Government of Canada and the Atlantic provincial governments, the Strategy is creating well-paying middle class jobs, strengthening local communities and growing innovative companies in the region. Both levels of government have collaborated to launch innovative measures designed to unlock the region’s potential. This partnership has contributed to a stronger economy, population growth, and opportunities for businesses and communities across Atlantic Canada.
The agreement to renew the Atlantic Growth Strategy demonstrates a commitment to the long-term prosperity of Atlantic Canada.
