The Application Process
Joining the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme is a straightforward process, but it requires dedication and a strong commitment to making a difference in healthcare. Here's an overview of the application steps:
1. Application Form (Deadline: October 31, 2023): Complete the online application form, which takes approximately 40 minutes. If your application is successful, you'll move on to the next stage.
2. Stage 1 Online Assessment (Deadline: November 10, 2023): This strengths-based online assessment provides insights into the work you'd be doing in the scheme. Successful candidates will receive a feedback report.
3. Stage 2 Work-Based Scenarios (Deadline: November 17, 2023): This assessment includes video responses, allowing you to showcase your individuality. You'll receive an opportunity to practice before the scored questions. Feedback reports will be provided to all candidates.
4. Virtual Assessment Centre (VAC): Successful candidates will be invited to the Virtual Assessment Centre in January 2024. During this half-day event, you'll participate in strengths-based exercises and meet the NHS team and fellow candidates. Feedback will be provided regardless of the outcome.
5. Allocation: The allocation process matches candidates with available placements based on assessment scores and preferences. This is not part of the assessment, and the VAC is the final stage.
6. Offer and Onboarding: Once matched with a placement, you'll be offered a place on the scheme. Pre-employment checks and onboarding will follow, preparing you for the Welcome Event in Leeds in early-September 2024.
