LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT INTERN | REMOTE

In coordination with the Director, Talent Management, the Leadership & Development Intern supports development, design, and implementation of a global leadership and management program. The Intern will play an integral role in supporting and performing tasks in the research, design, development, piloting, and evaluation of a Global Management and Leadership development program.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for a current graduate student or recent graduate of a Master’s program to apply Learning and Development concepts and practice in a real-world setting.

LOCATION

This project is available as a fully remote role or a hybrid role. For those who prefer to work in an office setting some or part of the time, our New York office has temporary and permanent desk solutions for employees that can accommodate those preferences. Orbis’s current policy requires that all staff visiting the New York office must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We welcome applicants able to work in time zones in the Americas, Europe, and/or Africa.


PROJECT DELIVERABLES

  • Benchmark and research and deliver best practices in management and leadership development with criteria for success and recommendations for Orbis.

  • Identify proposed solutions including commercial providers and vendors with recommendations for Orbis.

  • Research competencies relevant for leadership development program, delivering draft recommendation for competencies to use within a management program and a leadership development program

  • Design pilot program to test recommendations for management and leadership development program including evaluation criteria and other measurements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Currently enrolled graduate student or recently graduated in a related field of human resources; learning and development; organizational change; or similar

  • Strong technical knowledge in leadership development, organizational development, professional development, learning and development, workforce planning, succession planning or capacity-building

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong English language communications skills, oral and written ·

  • Able to take direction and then show follow through as well as ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks ·

  • Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who can work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units, virtually.

  • Demonstrated ability to work, manage, and meet completing deadlines in a fast-paced environment and on deadline; aptitude for problem solving

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
