This is a remote position.

Early applications close Friday 6th May, 5pm (AEST)

Experlio is looking for a Marketing & Social Media Intern to work alongside our founding team in helping young professionals grow their careers. This for-credit internship is perfect for up-and-coming professionals in the later stages of their studies!

During the internship you’ll work on multiple projects focused on community growth and engagement through our digital channels, whilst having the opportunity to develop and grow your skills with help from our talented team.

As a rapidly growing company that’s all about innovation and fresh ideas, we’re looking to bring on someone who’s excited to take on complex challenges with an open mind. We want you to be the kind of person that brings as many ideas as they execute.

There is no experience necessary for this role. We’re much more interested in excitement about what we do and the opportunity to learn and do!

Now, on to the fun stuff…

What is Experlio?

Experlio is the world's first Peer to Peer Creative Career Platform. We’re a social platform that helps top professionals share their knowledge in short, practical, and experience-based content. Our members include current and aspiring professionals, from 1st-year uni students to Brand Directors at some of the world’s most valuable companies, who value engaging with and learning from each other.

Our mission: To empower creativity across the globe.

Our goals

  • Connect professionals to create opportunities.

  • Empower people to become their most creative selves.

  • Share knowledge & experiences with those who seek it.

Your role

This is a multi-faceted role that will give you a taste of what Marketing, Communications, and Social Media are all about - especially in an early-stage startup. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about our business, grow your skills, and take ownership of your work.

Here are some of the things you’ll be working on:

  • Planning and discussing content strategies that will best achieve our goals.

  • Undertaking audience research and feedback

  • Contribute to written and visual elements of short-form social media posts and blogs across multiple platforms

  • Scheduling email and organic social media communications

  • Compiling weekly analytics reports to make informed communications decisions.

What are we looking for?

At Experlio we don’t ask for any number of years of experience, all that we ask is that you are willing to learn and excited to grow a career in Marketing and Social Media. However, these are some of the things we are looking for:

  • Location: We have the option to work this position from our Perth office or other locations we have team members, including Melbourne and Sydney, however, it is open to remote applicants. If you work remotely you must be comfortable communicating over Google Meet, Drive, Slack, and Email.

  • Words: A strong command of the English language and its written words is a must.

  • Images: Being comfortable designing and creating basic designs on Canva is well regarded.

  • Research: Happy undertaking and expanding on research briefs is required.

  • Social Media: Some exposure to social media management, posting, and an understanding of trends and best practices will be helpful. Being a TikTok and Instagram native with a desire to learn how to apply your skills in a business environment is very well regarded.

  • Commitment: Commitment is negotiable, however a minimum of three days a week during the uni break would be ideal.

Bonus points for:

  • A passion for creativity, learning, and mentoring

  • Video editing and graphic design skills

  • Having created and managed an online presence before (it can be your own profile)

  • A desire to learn more about the Experlio platform

  • Leadership roles in student societies

At the end of the day, we are looking to bring on someone who is excited to learn and hungry to test their skills.

Apply now and take the next step :)
