Description

At Bending Spoons, we've got our sights set on becoming one of the greatest companies the world’s ever seen. With that in mind—and with our product line improving and expanding rapidly—we’re striving harder than ever to raise the bar in the world of mobile marketing. That’s why we’re seeking a stellar marketer: someone imaginative, tenacious, and ambitious, who lives and breathes growth strategy.

A few examples of your responsibilities:

  • Develop and test product marketing strategies (including pricing, advertising, and product launches) to help our products and brands flourish to their full, market-leading potential.

  • Manage existing marketing activities (including performance marketing, contests, re-engagement, and more) to keep our campaigns resonant, successful, and capable of enhancing the brand of each product.

  • Work on measurement strategy to monitor our marketing performance, with the help of our talented engineers and data analysts.

  • Contribute to product development, proposing improvements to the customer funnel, and suggesting new features that would make the product more marketable.

  • Come up with new ways to advertise our jobs, present the company, and establish our brand as one of the world’s best tech employers.

  • Study the market and competition intensely, and identify new strategies to help our products and brands grow.

  • Design tests and strategies that account for all kinds of scenarios, making sure that we proceed in the most meaningful and impactful direction.

What We Offer

  • Huge impact. You’ll take complete control of some of our product marketing strategies. Your work can seriously impact Bending Spoons, our millions of users, and even the mobile app industry at large in the next few years.

  • Autonomy. You’ll be responsible for the marketing strategy, and no one will micromanage you. Together with your team, you’ll be free to choose a direction, test, fail, and test the next idea.

  • Top-notch team. You’ll be surrounded by some of the brightest and nicest folks you’ve ever worked with, and you’ll be able to tap into Bending Spoons’ experience with building many market-leading mobile apps. Here, you’ll learn at the speed of light.

  • Unique career opportunity. By joining a fast-growing company that sets out to become one of the world's greatest within the vast, booming mobile market, you get a special chance to turbocharge your learning and career.

  • Continuous education. Spooners get unlimited backing for learning investments, including your Italian or English lessons and things like courses, conferences, and books. There’s no permission or approval process--you’re fully trusted to use the company’s resources efficiently.

  • Top-of-the market tools. You get the best hardware on the market and all the software you could need. We can't wait to introduce you to our high-tech approach to marketing and to our cutting-edge workflows.

  • Remote working. Spend as much or as little time in our Milan office as you choose (even no time at all, if you’d prefer). Many Spooners like to change up their environment and get out of the city whenever the mood strikes. Every day, you’ve got the freedom to decide where today’s office is.

  • Flexible schedule. Our regular hours are 9-6 GMT+1, but this isn’t a “clock in, clock out” company. Morning person? Start work while the world’s still sleeping. Night owl? Ramp things up while others are winding down. You’re fully trusted to create the right conditions for your own personal peak productivity. We only ask that you’re available to your teammates a good chunk of the day. That’s why it’s generally best to be based somewhere with a similar time zone—between GMT-2 and GMT+3.

  • Unlimited vacations. Take all the time you need to recharge your batteries—no permission process or vacation allowance here.

  • Lots. Of. Fun. Our incredible People Operations team organizes awesome events, such as team games, drinks, yoga classes, parties, and regular company-wide retreats. Recent destinations include Bali, Mexico, and Tanzania.

  • Top-of-the-market salary and stock options in a tech rocket ship. Our total compensation is very competitive and can grow rapidly and include stock options.

What We Look For

  • Drive and tenacity. You’re hard-working, motivated to make a big impact, and you persevere through adversity until the job is done—and done wonderfully. You’re results-oriented and always aim for excellence in what you do.

  • Logical-analytical abilities. You’re a quick learner who can investigate and effectively pick up new concepts on your own. You can solve unforeseen challenges with creativity and structure, and can do so independently.

  • Common sense. Rather than being heavy on the academic and light on the pragmatic, your thinking is practical and rooted in reality.

  • Initiative. Once you understand the scope of a project, you’re able to work independently, often coming up with ingenious ways to reach your goals. In addition, you’re constantly exploring the world around you, looking for new ideas and opportunities.

  • Interest in marketing. You have a keen interest in all things marketing.

  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

The Recruiting Process

If you successfully pass through our screening process, we’ll invite you to take on a few tests that assess how you approach and solve unfamiliar problems. These tests don’t require any prior knowledge, and they should take a few hours to complete. If you’re successful there, we’ll invite you to some interviews—normally two or three—to get to know each other and figure out if it’s a good fit for both parties. The interviews are held remotely, and include some behavioral and problem-solving questions. To limit arbitrariness and human bias, all Bending Spoons hiring decisions are made by a hiring committee.

Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, disability. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities in our recruiting process. If you need any assistance or accommodations due to a disability, please let us know at accommodations-ext@bendingspoons.com.

Spooners come from all over the world and English is our working language. We welcome applications in English or Italian—whichever suits you best! All interviews and assessments will take place online.
