We are looking for an occupational therapy assistant who can establish trusting, therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers, communicate with them in a way that respects their opinions, autonomy, and culture, and handle any potential communication barriers like dysphasia, learning disabilities, deafness, a different language, etc. Using written, spoken, pictorial, tactile, and visual communication tools effectively will be necessary for this. Provide information on a variety of subjects related to occupational therapy practice to patients, caregivers, and appropriate MDT staff, such as ADL assessment, equipment, adaptive strategies, and signposting. Applications for Skilled Worker sponsorship are welcome for those that meet the Visa and Immigrations eligibility criteria.
