Block Research is looking for a passionate individual to join our 25-person research team. As a research intern, you will contribute to the production of unique insights about the digital assets industry that institutions and corporate executives around the world need. You will work directly with the director of research and the existing research team, as well as improve your existing knowledge about the digital assets landscape. Moreover, by leveraging our strong industry network and wide reach within the digital assets community, you will be able to build your own personal brand in the industry as well as on social media. Having access to the full spectrum of digital asset data providers, you will be able to utilize your analytical skills to produce state-of-the-art insights that are in high demand by digital asset venture capital firms and investment companies. Job Duties / Responsibilities:
Conducting deep-dive research on various digital asset related topics, which will be published under your individual author profile as part of The Block Research
As per demand, support the development of in-depth and topic-focused Research Reports, and The Block’s Data Dashboard
Occasionally communicate with institutional clients on the current state of the digital assets industry and where it is moving
Other tasks related to being part of an early-stage company that receives numerous requests for public appearances, knowledge sharing, and community interaction
Successful candidates will likely have:
At least 2 years of academic experience
Practical experience in a traditional finance, data analytics, or software development setting, although all backgrounds will be considered
In-depth knowledge of the current digital asset ecosystem participants, blockchains, and underlying technological frameworks
Familiarity with statistics, Python, and SQL
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
The ability to comprehend complex topics in a swift manner and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Academic or practical familiarity with smart contract languages, deployments, and platforms is a plus
Time for a commitment of at least 3 months
