Our Growth Team is looking to bring onboard a Social Media Intern. This role will report to our Social Media Manager to help our cross-functional teammates by monitoring and engaging in reactive social opportunities with affiliates and user generated content, develop social calendars, and help promote various brands through social media channels. Here at Foundry, we are a lean team of operators and business owners. There is a level of accountability this role will hold to ideate but also execute initiatives. Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities while being well-organized with excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities:
Daily social community management, scheduling and posting.
Assist in creating monthly social calendar that defines content, cadence and channel as well as driving designated objectives for each channel.
Monitor social listening tools, trending topics and hashtags for opportunities and key conversations to engage and share with relevant departments.
Monitor and engage in reactive social opportunities with affiliates and user generated content.
Work closely with brand managers to ensure the social team is up to date on all promotions, policies, etc. and is supporting appropriately on social
Work closely with internal creative team to develop social-first creative for various brands
Keep a pulse on the digital landscape and social trends.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Complete other projects and special assignments as requested by supervisor or senior management.
Requirements:
Pursuing degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing or related discipline preferred
Quick learner and problem solver.
Strong listening and phone skills will be integral to success.
Project management skills and attention to detail.
Well-organized with excellent time management skills.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities.
General knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal with experience writing, editing and crafting content for the social media and digital space.
Experience with video editing and/or Adobe creative suite preferred but not required
