SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN | REMOTE

Arise Athletes Foundation is hiring a Social Media Intern who will work remotely. This intern will be involved in a variety of social media projects focused on the following objectives:

  1. Establishing and Growing our social media platforms

  2. Maintaining and Updating our website

Responsibilities:

· Maintenance and optimization of organization website

· Analysis of current WordPress site to determine areas of improvement from a marketing and social media perspective

· Establish a plan to design updated website based on analysis

· Develop new website based on approved plan

· Establish social media presence using Facebook Business, Instagram Business and LinkedIn; other possible social media tools include Twitter and TikTok

· Assist with creation and review of content for programming, special events and webinars

· Maintain and update communication channels and databases (websites, mass mailings, etc.)

· Assist with building email database lists

· Perform related Marketing activities/efforts at the request of the Executive Director and Marketing Advisor

· Take on additional assignments as needed

Skills Required:

· Currently enrolled (Junior or Senior) or recently graduated from a college or university studying marketing, communications, new media, advertising or closely related degree

· Experience with WordPress preferred

· Ability to utilize social networking sites to promote Arise Athlete Foundation and its goals

· Possess excellent communication skills, including written, interpersonal and presentation skills, basic web editing knowledge, and familiarity with digital campaign analysis best practices

· Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position

· Expert ability to establish and to maintain positive and effective working relationships with all levels of employees within the Arise Athlete Foundation and with outside vendors
