The primary duties of the theatre practitioner will be to prioritize patient care, taking part in all patient routes from admission to surgery and post-operative care. As an experienced theatre practitioner, you will be doing preoperative evaluation, diagnostic tests, and theatre scrub under the recommendations of the AfPP. Although it is ideal if you have prior experience working as a scrub practitioner in ophthalmic operating rooms, our clinical education team can offer training and guidance as you move to a position at one of our centers for cataract or ophthalmic surgery.
